What Does a Confidence Coach Actually Do? (And Do YOU Need One?)

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably had at least one moment recently where you thought:

“Why can’t I just feel confident already?”
“Why do I overthink everything?”
“Why do I shrink when I walk into rooms I KNOW I belong in?”

Listen, you’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re not the only one.

Most women don’t struggle with confidence because they aren’t smart enough, talented enough, or “together” enough.

Most women struggle because of this one truth:

We’ve been trained to people-please, not to trust ourselves.
We’ve been taught to be agreeable, not powerful.
We’ve been conditioned to stay small, not take up space.

And that’s exactly where confidence coaching comes in.

So, let me break it down.

What Does a Confidence Coach Do?

A confidence coach helps you stop living life on autopilot, stop second-guessing everything, and finally start trusting yourself again.

But my approach?
Different. On purpose.

I’m not here to sprinkle positivity on your fear like glitter because that’s not realistic.
I’m not giving you “Boss Babe” quotes and telling you to manifest your way out of your insecurities.

I’m here to help you rebuild confidence from the inside out using:

  • mindset work

  • Boundary-setting

  • reframing old beliefs

  • learning to use your voice and

  • building self-trust one small step at a time

Real confidence isn’t a vibe. It’s a skill set

Why I Coach Confidence (My ‘Rock Bottom’ Origin Story)

In 2014, I lost my job and was unemployed for a year and a half.

I had always tied my worth to success — my title, my salary, my performance.
And suddenly? All of that was gone.

No job.
No routine.
No direction.
No confidence.

As a brown–skinned woman living in the United States, who already struggled with self-esteem, that season sent me into depression and suicidal ideation.

My dad would call daily to check on me, and he could always tell when my mood was low, even when I would tell him, “I’m fine.”

I remember one day he told me:

“You’re looking at things wrong. You need to start with gratitude. Be grateful for the things you have, not the things you don’t have.”

At first, I thought he was crazy. I was sitting there with no income, no job, and struggling mentally and financially, so what did I have to be grateful for?

But I sat with what he said and realized a few things:

  • I had a loving family and friends who checked on me.

  • I had a fridge full of food (thanks to food stamps).

  • I had a reliable car that would take me to and from interviews, so I didn’t have to rely on public transportation.

That’s where everything changed.

I rebuilt myself piece by piece, shifting my thoughts, challenging old beliefs, and learning how to trust myself again.

And that transformation is exactly why I do what I do.

How Confidence Coaching Actually Works

Women come to me because they’re tired of:

• saying yes when they want to say no
• feeling like an imposter even though they’ve achieved some success
• comparing themselves to every other woman
• feeling “not good enough” no matter how much they achieve
• being scared to speak up
• putting everyone else first
• not trusting their own voice

I like to think of my coaching as my favorite drink: a spicy margarita; it’s spicy (sassy), real, no fluff, a little sweet, and deeply mindset-forward.

Think: accountable best friend meets therapist… minus the couch.

Inside our work together, I teach the exact frameworks that helped me rebuild my life.

Here are the tools we use:

1. Reframing Exercises

We challenge the thoughts that have been lying to you for years.

2. Boundary Scripts

You learn how to communicate your needs without guilt or overexplaining.

3. Journaling for Self-Awareness

You get clarity on your triggers, patterns, and emotional blocks.

Real Client Result: From Playing Small → Taking Up Space

One of my clients came to me feeling deeply insecure at work.
She wanted a promotion, but when her boss finally offered one, the salary was way below what she deserved.

Old her would’ve taken it anyway.
New her, the version we built together, said:

“No. I deserve more.”

When her boss still refused, she didn’t shrink.
She didn’t settle.
She didn’t question her worth.

She used her new confidence to go find a better-paying job that aligned with the career path she actually wanted.

THIS is the power of confidence coaching.

So… What Does a Confidence Coach Really Help With?

Let me say it plainly:

A confidence coach helps you become the woman you’ve been too scared to be.

A woman who:

  • knows she is worthy

  • trusts her decisions

  • doesn’t need outside validation

  • has boundaries that stick

  • uses her voice, even when it shakes

  • walks into rooms knowing she belongs

  • has confidence for speaking up and using her voice

It’s not about perfection. It’s about transformation.

What Happens Inside Journey to Confidence (J2C)

(My 16-week, private 1:1 coaching program)

Before J2C, most women feel:

▪ stuck in comparison
▪ scared to speak up
▪ resentful from people-pleasing
▪ disconnected from their true selves
▪ confident on paper but not internally

After J2C, they become women who:

  • set boundaries without spiraling

  • stop apologizing for existing

  • trust their voice and their choices

  • speak up in rooms they used to shrink in

  • feel secure in who they are

  • know they are good enough, without proving it

This isn’t surface-level coaching. It’s truly an identity-level transformation.

Is Confidence Coaching for You?

If you’re reading this thinking:

“That sounds like me…” or “I’m tired of feeling like I’m not enough…”

Then yes, this is for you.

J2C is made for the woman who:

  • doubts herself even though she’s successful

  • struggles with imposter syndrome

  • puts everyone else’s needs above her own

  • fears judgment if she shines too brightly

  • is exhausted from playing small

  • wants to feel seen, confident, empowered, and whole

If that’s you?

Your life doesn’t have to stay this way. Confidence is something you build with guidance, support, and the right tools.

And that’s exactly what I’m here for.

Ready to stop shrinking and start showing up?

Apply for Journey to Confidence and let’s rebuild the version of you that feels powerful, worthy, and unshakeable, from the inside out.
